Sentinel Coffee is a boutique coffee roaster in Juneau, Alaska dedicated to providing you with absolutely fresh organic coffee. Our roaster has been in the coffee business for almost 20 years and loves to share great coffee with everyone. Over those years, we have developed a healthy obsession with freshness and roast every week to ensure our customers get their coffee at the peak of its flavor

We strive to find you only the best organic selections from around the world. Our varieties include old world coffees such as those from Ethiopia and Java, as well as many Latin origins. Our selection is constantly changing with the global coffee harvest, but at any one time you can expect to find at least a dozen different origins. We also craft specialty blends of coffee for just the right espresso or a beautifully balanced brew. If you don’t know what kind of coffee you like, come into the roastery for a tasting to sample several different origins, roasts, blends, and brewing methods.

You can buy our beans online, direct from our roastery in Juneau, at Rainbow Foods in Juneau, or join over 200 longtime customers who have fresh coffee delivered to them with our regular subscription service. You can also enjoy our coffee at many Southeast cafés and resturants.

Ethical Business: Sentinel Coffee is always organic because we believe in protecting the health of not only the farm workers that produce our great coffee but also the environment in which our coffee grows. Much of our coffee is purchased from farmer-owned cooperatives so that we know that the people who make our delicious coffee are getting a fair price for their labor and continue their tradition of producing great coffee.
Additionally, we roast with electricity, produced with hydro power, to avoid using fossil fuels in our process. We then deliver our coffee in a fully electric vehicle to further cut fuel use. To account for the impact of shipping beans to Alaska, we offset carbon emissions with the Juneau Carbon Offset Fund.
